How true it is. The trick is getting the visitors to mention your posts. Having good incentives is a great way to increase your exposure.

This is off-topic, but I’ve started a <a href="http://blogindiversity.com/2007/10/10/technorati-u-fave-i-fave-exchange" rel="nofollow">Technorati Favorite Exchange</a> if you’d like to participate feel free to.

Half of my traffic on my blogs is from referals, that means that people like my posts and spread the word on other blogs, websites and social bookmarking sites. Have unique and great content and people won't get enough of you.

Yeah, it sure does. You need to have plenty of patience. Most new bloggers hear about the success of the likes of John Chow and think that it's not that hard to create a blog and start earning a thousand a month. After 3 months of no notable success (in their minds) they quit.

Sounds good. I'm still trying out different plugins. I've heard about that plugin, so I'll give it a shot. On the content, I'm working on it. Takes time to build up a good base.

For one, have the Sociable plugin with the Digg, Technorati, Reddit buttons etc., which let your users spread the word. Other than that, most of it is out of your hands - just write great content. It is a slow build up, but once you have the loyal fan base that effects are amazing.

It's a snowball effect. The difficult problem is getting the loyal visitors to spread the word of a post they particularly like. Do you have any ideas on how to do this?
